Priesthood of Restoration

The Restoration Declaration

A public confession of restorative vocation.

The Restoration Declaration

The Declaration is not a creed that replaces historic confession. It is a rule of responsibility for those who identify with the Priesthood’s restorative vocation.

I receive life as gift and vocation, not merely possession.
I recognise that grace calls me into a life of reconciliation and faithful work.
I will tell the truth about harm and refuse to hide responsibility behind religious language.
Where I have caused reparable harm, I will seek appropriate restitution.
I will pursue reconciliation without coercing those who require safety or distance.
I will honour family, culture and ancestry without making bloodline the measure of divine worth.
I will cultivate wisdom, competence and humility in the work I undertake.
I will use authority as service and remain accountable for its effects.
I will participate in the restoration of people, relationships, communities and creation according to my calling and capacity.
I am not merely awaiting restoration. I am called to participate in it.
